Featured Artist | Soho House Hong Kong
In October 2021, I was selected as a featured artist for Hong Kong's inaugural Impact NFT Exhibition, a groundbreaking showcase held at the prestigious Soho House Hong Kong in Sheung Wan. This historic exhibition was the first of its kind in Hong Kong, presenting a curated collection of NFTs specifically created to support global impact projects and charities aligned with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Nashulai Maasai Conservancy Partnership & Conservation Initiative
Created exclusive NFT collection including signature piece "Sabali" (meaning "Patience") in collaboration with the first community-owned and directed wildlife conservancy in the Maasai Mara. This partnership represented an early model of blockchain-enabled philanthropy, demonstrating how digital art could generate tangible environmental impact while celebrating indigenous conservation leadership and cultural wisdom. The funds raised were primarily used to help conserve the African continent through this pioneering community-based conservation model.
Artistic Recognition
My work was featured as representing digital Afrofuturist/Afro-surrealist collage art from Zimbabwe, showcasing how African tales and mythological stories blend with global cultural influences. The exhibition highlighted my distinctive use of topographic lines as a narrative device, creating adventurous journeys for collectors while supporting meaningful global causes. My artistic process honored the principle of "Sabali" (patience), reflecting both the meditative nature of art creation and the long-term vision required for successful conservation work.
Environmental Innovation
As highlighted in Earth.Org's coverage, this exhibition addressed environmental concerns about NFTs by utilizing "proof of stake" methods that use far less power than traditional blockchain transactions. The show aimed to demonstrate how blockchain technology could be "a force for good rather than an environmental polluter," positioning my work within a pioneering sustainable NFT movement.
Media Coverage & Industry Recognition
The exhibition received significant coverage from leading environmental and art publications, with Earth.Org (powered by over 150 contributing writers) featuring the event as "Hong Kong's First Sustainable NFT Art Exhibition." My work was prominently mentioned alongside contributions from major organizations including the South China Morning Post, demonstrating the caliber and scope of this groundbreaking exhibition.
Strategic Partnerships & Technology Integration
The exhibition was supported by leading blockchain companies including MANTRA DAO and RioDeFi, demonstrating institutional confidence in NFTs as vehicles for social change. As MANTRA DAO's Senior Marketing Manager Joanna Chan noted, "Promoting positive influence in the community is a core part of our mission," while RioDeFi's CMO Stephane Villedieu emphasized blockchain as "an enabler of yet to be explored applications that will have a profound social impact."
Cultural Impact
This exhibition demonstrated how blockchain technology could be a transformative force for conservation, supporting diverse initiatives from climate action to biodiversity protection through the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. My participation directly contributed to supporting the Nashulai Maasai Conservancy through Project Ark's rigorously vetted platform, which only works with projects accredited by Gold Standard (founded by WWF) and Verra (founded by WEF), ensuring maximum transparency and impact. The event featured interactive metaverse experiences, live talks, and curated programs exploring "NFTs as an emerging technology at the intersection of code, community and conservation."
This exhibition represented a pivotal moment where my Afrofuturist vision aligned with global sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the power of digital art to transcend borders and drive meaningful change while using the funds raised to help conserve the African continent through indigenous-led conservation efforts.
